PresTech is a one-stop facility for film owners and guardians concerned with preservation, restoration and presentation of their films. We comprise a specialist film and television restoration laboratory and a very experienced team of highly qualified restorers, aiming to offer the very best archival quality solution for any preservation or restoration request made to us. With a choice of custom made photochemical and/or digital facilities, our professionals always provide the optimum result for each individual project.

Among our services, we are able to care for all types of film in any condition, including nitrate and decomposing acetate, as well as all obsolete formats, where our services may include 4K scan, printing, colour correction, manual cleaning and emulsion chemical treatment, digital restoration and sound restoration. Our profound understanding of film, sound and electronic image technology allows us to restore deteriorated audio-visual material to FIAF and FIAT standards, ensuring a final, tailor-made product of the highest quality.

"NAPOLEON", Abel Gance's epic silent masterpiece is currently being scanned at PresTech. We won this scanning work following an industry-wide quality competition. The source material is the restoration made by the BFI and Photoplay Productions. In order to avoid cropping frames with frame lines outwith the standard position which represented a significant proportion of this five-and-half hour film we had to modify specially two of our five scanners.
